Is it just me or does it seem like the years just fly by? I suddenly find myself feeling like an old woman - a stay at home mom with three kids, happily married for 7 (yes SEVEN!) years, who has lived in nearly half a dozen states in that amount of time. Where has the time gone? But alas... here we are 2011. Another new beginning that seems busier than ever. My calender already has dates marked for visitors, vacations, weekend events and various doctors appointments. But with a new year comes new commitment, hope and a renewed outlook on who I want to be - which most times seems like someone very far from who I am. I just hope that I can remain steady and strong, meeting each of my new goals head on!
I am in hopes that there will be much change around the Harrison household in the upcoming months. I'm back on the potty-training regimen with Thomas...big boy undies, stickers, m&m's and lots of encouragement. I'm just praying that he will be willing to work with me. He was doing so well about a month ago, but then he got sick and there is no convincing a sick 2-year-old to do anything he doesn't want to. As soon as he was well again, we left for our trip to Texas, so needless to say he's back in diapers.
Daniel's routine (whether he knows it or not) is also about to change. Daniel is our worst sleeper. He's never really been one to sleep through the night and he is very much a mamma's-boy. (And yes, I do admit to babying him a lot of the time.) Presently, he gets rocked to sleep most nights and when he wakes in the middle of the night, he gets to snuggle up next to mom in the big comfy California King. He is nearly one-year-old, so I guess it is time for me to play tough and get him into a better sleeping schedule. I just keep telling myself it'll be better for everyone!
I've got quite a few of my own personal goals... Some of the usual; loose 15 pounds, be a more calm, loving, caring mother, strive to be understanding and unselfish toward my husband, blog regularly, stay up on my scriptures, prayers and journal...you know the basic standards. I do also have some goals that I'm not willing to publicly share, for fear of exposing all of my faults. Lets just say that I'm going to be busy in 2011. So here's to the new year!!!

It does seem like life is just whirring by and time is flying even faster!
I love checking in with your cute little family and seeing how you're doing! Sounds like you've got a lot ahead of you this upcoming year! (I say potty training should get a million dollar reward...don't you?!?!)
